MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Earlier this week, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said that Russia was deeply concerned about Washington's non-stop escalation policy and called for a more responsible approach to the situation fraught with unpredictable consequences.
US President Joe Biden embodies the traditional simplistic approach of the United States toward the world that includes telling other countries how to behave, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in a recorded interview published on Telegram on Sunday.

"Biden is the flesh and blood of the US political establishment. The US approach to global affairs traditionally tends toward primitivism. They are always trying to tell everyone how to act and how to live. That is the main message," Peskov stated.

Biden's Attempts to Insult Putin Undermine US Image, Russian Ambassador Says
Peskov said that Biden's offensive behavior toward Russian President Vladimir Putin went as far back as 2011, when Biden came to Russia as vice president. Biden told Putin that Washington did not want him to run for president, to which Putin advised him not to interfere in Russian politics.
"Even then, there were certain attempts to display such behavior in conversations with Putin. Putin has always responded to such approaches correctly but firmly," Peskov said.
