MOSCOW, (Sputnik) - Chad is willing to cooperate with any country as long as the central African nation's interests are protected, Prime Minister Allamaye Halina said.

Halina said that maintaining cooperation with historic and strategic partners was crucial for Chad, especially in the face of threats like terrorism.

"Chad's intention is to continue all these partnerships based on respect for national sovereignty and mutual interests. Chad is free to develop any cooperation with any country that serves its interests," he told a French reporter when asked whether Chad would align itself with Moscow, Washington, or Paris.
