On June 6, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov concluded a three-day tour of Africa. The Russian delegation visited four African countries, including Chad, where he met with Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Deby and Foreign Minister Abderaman Koulamallah and agreed to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
The Russian president's special envoy to the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, and Chad's Ambassador to Moscow, Mahamoud Adam Bechir, confirmed the two countries' intention to expand cooperation in trade, economics and humanitarian spheres.
