Western countries "turn a blind eye so that they don't have to admit that they are supporting a criminal regime," this sentiment was expressed by war correspondent Christelle Neant in an interview with Sputnik Africa.Since 2014, "several hundred children have been killed by Ukrainian shelling or drone strikes in the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. Several hundred others have been wounded, some seriously mutilated," said the French-born journalist, who has been present in Donbass since 2016.Neant denounced the "absolutely deafening silence of the Western countries that have been arming and financing the Kiev regime for years," despite the fact that on June 23, a beach in Sevastopol was attacked by ATACMS, killing 4 people, including 2 children, and injuring over 150.She quoted an aide to Volodymyr Zelensky as saying that Crimea was a large military camp and warehouse with hundreds of direct military targets. In this context, the installation of US long-range missiles in Germany is "a very bad step towards aggravating tensions between NATO and Russia," she warned. This tendency to escalate is being perpetuated by the United States, she added.

July 27 is the Day of Remembrance for Child Victims of the War in Donbass, which is celebrated every year in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
Western countries "turn a blind eye so that they don't have to admit that they are supporting a
criminal regime," this sentiment was expressed by war correspondent Christelle Neant in an interview with
Sputnik Africa.
Since 2014, "several hundred children have been killed by Ukrainian shelling or drone strikes in the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. Several hundred others have been wounded, some seriously mutilated," said the French-born journalist, who has been present in Donbass since 2016.
"For all the inhabitants of Donbass, July 27 is a very important date to remember that, unfortunately, it's not only the adults who pay the price of this war but also the children," she said.
Neant denounced the "absolutely deafening silence of the Western countries that have been arming and financing the Kiev regime for years," despite the fact that on June 23, a beach in Sevastopol was
attacked by ATACMS, killing 4 people, including 2 children, and injuring over 150.
She quoted an aide to Volodymyr Zelensky as saying that Crimea was a large military camp and warehouse with hundreds of direct military targets.
"For years, Ukraine said it wanted Crimea back to free Crimeans from alleged 'Russian occupation.' And now, in fact, the Ukrainian authorities are showing their true face, which is that they clearly believe that the Crimeans are not Ukrainians, are not their citizens, and therefore they have the right to bomb them as they bomb Russian civilians."
In this context, the installation of
US long-range missiles in Germany is "a very bad step towards aggravating tensions between NATO and Russia," she warned. This tendency to escalate is being perpetuated by the United States, she added.
