WASHINGTON (Sputnik) - Earlier on Saturday, Trump said a bullet from a suspected shooter pierced the upper part of his right ear during a shooting at his campaign rally in the state of Pennsylvania.
Former US President Donald Trump still plans on attending the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee this coming week, his campaign said.
"President Trump looks forward to joining you all in Milwaukee as we proceed with our convention to nominate him to serve as the 47th President of the United States. As our party's nominee, President Trump will continue to share his vision to Make America Great Again," the Trump campaign said in a press release on Saturday evening.
The US Secret Service said Trump's shooter was killed by US Secret Service agents, but one spectator was killed and two others were critically injured during the incident. According to media reports, this incident is being investigated as an assassination attempt.
