Niger and Chad decided to restart the Niger-Chad-Cameroon pipeline project and extend the gasoil supply agreement, local media reported. The revival of the Niger-Chad-Cameroon pipeline marks a significant infrastructure initiative for the three nations. This pipeline will enable the transportation of crude oil from Niger to Cameroon through Chad, potentially enhancing the economies of each country and generating thousands of jobs.Similarly, the renewal of the diesel supply agreement with Chad holds great importance. Diesel is critical for Chadian economic activities, and this contract aims to ensure consistent and affordable access to diesel, supporting the country's economic stability. This news is not in favor of Benin, through which Niger was exporting its crude oil. In early June, Niger authorities blocked the oil pipeline in response to the arrest by Beninese police of its five representatives, who were supervising the loading of crude oil onto a ship at the port. However, last week, Niger agreed to engage in negotiations with the Benin government to restore relations and resume operations of the oil pipeline. At the same time, in late June, the Nigerien government announced plans to export its crude oil to the global market using Chad’s pipeline. Furthermore, a committee was formed to supervise the required preparations for transporting Nigerien crude oil through Chad's pipeline.

A Chadian delegation led by the Minister of Oil, Mines, and Geology, Ndolenodji Alixe Naimbaye, has been on a working visit to Niger since Wednesday, media reported. This visit aims to relaunch the Niger-Chad-Cameroon pipeline project and renew the gasoil supply contract in Chad.
Niger and
Chad decided to restart the Niger-Chad-Cameroon pipeline project and extend the gasoil supply agreement, local media reported.
The revival of the Niger-Chad-Cameroon pipeline marks a significant infrastructure initiative for the three nations. This pipeline will enable the transportation of crude oil from Niger to
Cameroon through Chad, potentially enhancing the economies of each country and generating thousands of jobs.
Similarly, the renewal of the diesel supply agreement with Chad holds great importance.
Diesel is critical for Chadian economic activities, and this contract aims to ensure consistent and affordable access to diesel, supporting the country's economic stability.
This news is not in favor of Benin, through which Niger was exporting its crude oil. In early June, Niger authorities blocked the oil pipeline in response to the arrest by Beninese police of its five representatives, who were supervising the loading of
crude oil onto a ship at the port.
