MOSCOW (Sputnik) - At the beginning of the week, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban arrived on his first visit to Kiev in 12 years. On Tuesday, he asked Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky to consider a ceasefire with Russia in the hope it would speed up peace negotiations.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said on Friday that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s trips to Kiev and Moscow are admirable, as it is important to find a way towards peace in Ukraine.
"I want to express my admiration for the Hungarian prime minister, who did not hesitate and went to both Kiev and Moscow. I would be glad to join him if I would be in good health condition. There can never be too many peace talks," Fico said during his speech on the occasion of St. Cyril and Methodius Day.
Orban arrived in Moscow on Friday for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The issue of resolving the Ukrainian conflict was discussed, among other things.
