The minister also said that Russia is ready to develop contacts in the field of sports to promote the formation of common approaches with

"We must stand together against attempts to use sport as a tool of pressure and discrimination on national or political grounds," he added.
The statement was made at the BRICS sports ministers' meeting, held in Kazan on Saturday.
