The Eswatini prime minister's visit to Belarus is the first ever in the history of bilateral relations. A joint communique establishing diplomatic relations between Minsk and Mbabane was signed on June 4.
Belarus is ready to share its best competencies and supply equipment to Eswatini, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said at a meeting with Russell Msweni Dlamini, the Southern African country's prime minister.

"Industry makes up a significant part of our GDP and our export potential. Belarusian machinery is well represented in African countries such as South Africa, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Nigeria, and especially in Zimbabwe, with which we have numerous programs for agricultural mechanization," he was quoted as saying by the Belarusian media.

The Belarusian prime minister recalled that there is a joint Belarusian-Zimbabwean program for the mechanization of Zimbabwean agriculture.

"As a result of this work, for the first time in 50 years, Zimbabwe fully secured its grain harvest in 2022," Golovchenko added.

Eswatini and Belarus expressed their intentions for further enhancing trade and economic cooperation, as well as forging connections in education, healthcare, science, technology, and culture.
The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that this opens the door for a robust relationship between the two countries, including political dialogue, trade, and more.
