Charleston Police Reportedly Confirm Suicide of Boeing Whistleblower Barnett

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The body of a 62-year-old man was found in a car in a parking lot outside a South Carolina hotel. According to the deceased's attorney, Barnett was scheduled to meet with attorneys and give new testimony against Boeing.
The Charleston Police Department found no evidence of third-party involvement in the death of Boeing whistleblower John Barnett and concluded that he committed suicide due to mental problems, the US media reported.
Barnett, who worked for the company for more than three decades and accused it of cutting corners to expedite production of its aircraft, was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound on March 12. He was involved in a whistleblower retaliation case against Boeing.
