Mauritania is interested in food security cooperation with Russia and hopes for a visit by Russian entrepreneurs to the northwestern African country, a senior adviser to the Mauritanian Economy Ministry told Sputnik. Mauritania is interested in food security cooperation with Russia and
hopes for a visit by Russian entrepreneurs to the northwestern African country, a senior adviser to the Mauritanian Economy Ministry told Sputnik.
"Food safety is a matter of strategic importance for us. We face the problem of drought, and there are also security issues. I am sure that such cooperation will have a positive impact on our countries," Azeddine Ould Daddah said on the sidelines of the "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum."
He expressed hope for a visit by Russia's business mission to Mauritania, saying that Moscow is able to offer goods that the African nation's entrepreneurs would be interested in purchasing.
