Russia is ready to increase exports of mixed fertilizers to Malaysia, as well as exports of wheat, sunflower oil and meat products, Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Vakhrukov said on Thursday. The two countries are also cooperating on the halal certification track to start exporting meat products from Russia to Malaysia, the official added. Russia can also export high-quality pharmaceuticals, medical and energy equipment to Malaysia, Vakhrukov said. The International Economic Forum of Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation "Russia — Islamic World: KazanForum" is being held in Kazan, the capital of the central Russian region of Tatarstan, from May 14-19.

KAZAN, Russia (Sputnik) - The Russian official's comments came from the International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" in the Russian city of Kazan.
Russia is ready to increase exports of mixed fertilizers to Malaysia, as well as exports of wheat, sunflower oil and meat products, Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Vakhrukov said on Thursday.
"We see mutual interest in expanding trade to ensure food security in Malaysia. We can increase exports of mixed fertilizers. We know that a stable supply of fertilizers from Russia is important for the development of such an important industry in the Malaysian economy as palm oil production. We see great potential, and what is very important, interest from the Malaysian side, to increase exports of agricultural products to Malaysia, in particular wheat, sunflower oil, as well as meat products," Vakhrukov said at the International Economic Forum "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum" in the Russian city of Kazan.
The two countries
are also cooperating on the halal certification track to start exporting meat products from Russia to Malaysia, the official added.
Russia can also export high-quality pharmaceuticals, medical and energy equipment to Malaysia, Vakhrukov said.
"We are ready to consider supplying Malaysia with liquefied natural gas, low-carbon ammonia, hydrogen, and low-carbon footprint materials in the future," he added.
