Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will attend the
BRICS summit in the Russian city of Kazan scheduled for October, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali said on Wednesday.
"Yes, we confirm that the Iranian president, Raisi, he has been invited. We are making every effort so that he, as the president of Iran, as well as a new member of BRICS, will take part [in the summit] in our friendly country, Russia," Jalali told reporters on the sidelines of the international economic forum "Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum."
