MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The State Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament, will consider candidates for the positions of deputy prime ministers on May 13, and for the positions of ministers on May 14, State Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said on Friday.
Earlier in the day, the State Duma approved Mikhail Mishustin as the prime minister during a plenary session.

"On Monday, May 13, the State Duma will meet to consider candidates for approval for the posts of deputy prime ministers, and on Tuesday [May] 14, the candidates for Russian ministers," Volodin said.

On Friday evening, the Kremlin announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree to appoint Mishustin as the country's prime minister.
Putin was sworn in as the Russian president in the Kremlin on Tuesday. After the inauguration, the Russian cabinet headed by Mishustin resigned in accordance with the law.
