ST. PETERSBURG (Sputnik) - On Friday, at 01:00 pm local time [10:00 am GMT], the bus fell into the Moyka river in St. Petersburg when crossing a bridge, the regional department of the Russian Interior Ministry said.
Three people were killed after a bus fell into a Moyka river in
St. Petersburg on Friday, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) said.
“Rescuers pulled nine people from the sunken bus. Two are in serious condition, four are in a state of clinical death […] Three people died, unfortunately,” the ministry said in a statement.
Earlier, a source in the emergency services told Sputnik that four people were killed and four more are in a state of clinical death after the accident.
The Russian Investigative Committee also confirmed that the accident led to

"The driver was taken to a police station," the department said in a statement, adding that a criminal case was opened.
