LUGANSK (Sputnik) - At least five employees of an oil depot were injured in the attack of the Ukrainian armed forces on the Lugansk city, which is believed to have been carried out with the use of long-range Army Tactical Missile Systems, Leonid Pasechnik, the head of the Lugansk People's Republic, said on Wednesday, citing preliminary information.
Pasechnik said late on Tuesday that Ukrainian forces have attacked Lugansk as they shelled an oil depot in the city.

"Defeat on all fronts, Ukraine compensates by shelling civilian objects [...]. According to preliminary data, five employees of the oil depot have been injured, they have been hospitalized," Pasechnik said on Telegram, adding that the "overnight strike on the oil depot in Lugansk has been presumably carried out by Western Army Tactical Missile Systems."

He added that four ambulance crews have arrived at the site of the shelling. It was difficult to provide first aid to the injured because of the heavy fire, he said.

"As a result of the strike, power lines have been damaged, and houses in the area of the oil depot have been partially cut off from power supply. A high-pressure gas pipeline is on fire. All Lugansk units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are involved in extinguishing the fire," the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) head said.

Furthermore, according to LPR health minister Natalia Pashchenko the injured employees are in moderate condition, they suffered blast injuries.

"The condition of those wounded is assessed as moderate [...]. All the wounded have been provided with all the necessary medical care," the LPR government quoted Pashchenko as saying on Telegram.

She added that all five wounded employees have been taken to hospitals with mine blast injuries.
