On April 19, an Iranian base near the city of Isfahan was hit by a drone strike. While the attack on Iran was quickly attributed to Israel by the media, as it came in the wake of an Iranian retaliatory strike on Israeli territory, Tel Aviv didn't immediately claim responsibility.
In a rare public admission, Israeli Transportation Minister Miri Regev confirmed Israel's responsibility for the recent drone strike on a military base near Isfahan, Iran. The attack, which occurred on April 19, was a response to Iran's earlier missile attack on Israeli military installations.

"We retaliated," Regev, a member of the Israeli security cabinet, said in an interview with local media. "Iran got the message, and the whole world watching understands that the State of Israel isn't a sucker."

This marks the first official acknowledgment of Israel's involvement in the incident.

The exchange of strikes followed a series of escalating tensions between the two nations. On April 19, an Iranian base near the city of Isfahan was subjected to a drone strike possibly carried out by Israel in response to the April 14 Iranian missile attack on Israeli military installations, which, in turn, was an act of retaliation for the Israeli strike on the Iranian consulate in Syria earlier this month.
After the drone strike on the Isfahan base, Tehran said it would not respond to the attack, which it attributed to Israel, "although it is ready to do so."
Iranian media stressed that the attack did not cause significant damage, while state media reported that no nuclear facilities or sites in Isfahan were affected.
