SANTA CRUZ (Bolivia) (Sputnik) - The Bolivian Nuclear Energy Agency (ABEN) is looking for specialists to study in Russia with a view to subsequently working at the Center for Nuclear Research and Technology (CNRT) in El Alto, Marco Erbas, director of the agency’s radioactive materials department, told Sputnik.
"ABEN is looking for young professionals for 36 scholarships for a new career in the nuclear sphere to work with a nuclear research reactor. We are looking for engineers from the petroleum, chemical, electric power, electromechanical fields, scientists from the field of physics and chemistry," Erbas said.
He said specialists will be trained for a year. They will study for nine months at Tomsk Polytechnic University, and then three months directly at the nuclear center in El Alto.
“They will become pioneers in applying nuclear technology in our country,” Erbas said.
