UNITED NATIONS (Sputnik) - Last Saturday night, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched over 300 drones and missiles at Israel in its first-ever direct attack on Israeli territory.
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi said he is worried about the Israel-Iran conflict, potentially including hitting targets at Iranian nuclear sites.
"We are always concerned," Gossi said on Monday. "What I can tell you is that our inspectors in Iran were informed by the Iranian government that yesterday all the nuclear facilities that we are inspecting to date remain closed upon security considerations."
However, Grossi said the nuclear facilities will be reopened today.
Grossi made the comment during a media stakeout after discussions on Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant at the UN Security Council.
Last Saturday night, Iran launched more than 300 drones and missiles at Israel in retaliation for the latter attacking Iran's consulate in Syria and killing several commanders.
Israel said its armed forces intercepted 99% of the drones and missiles fired by Iran.
Israeli war cabinet member Benny Gantz said on Sunday that Israel would build a regional coalition to confront Iran and would retaliate in the fashion and timing of their choice.
