Zimbabwe is ready to work together with Russia to create a grain and fertilizer hub for many African countries, the country's Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, and Rural Development, Anxious Masuka, told Russian media.The southern African nation has a well-developed network of roads and railways, as well as infrastructure in general, which is the main thing for such a hub, Masuka noted.Recently, Zimbabwe began to receive encouraging news about the discovery of large oil and gas deposits in the Zambezi River basin. These hydrocarbon reserves could form the basis for the production of nitrogen fertilizers, the minister stressed.The African country is ready to provide favorable conditions for Russian investors in order to create joint ventures for the production of fertilizers and their supply to the African market, Masuka said.On Wednesday, Zimbabwe received 25,000 tonnes of grain from Russia free of charge.
