Presidential elections are due to be held in Côte d'Ivoire in 2025. The country's constitution allows the current head of state, Alassane Ouattara, to be re-elected for a fourth term, but he has not yet officially announced his intentions.

According to the outlet, the decision was made by the PPA-CI Central Committee and is to be endorsed by the party's congress. The date of its convening has not yet been set.
Gbagbo served as President of Côte d'Ivoire from autumn 2000 to spring 2011.
