MOSCOW (Sputnik) - In early December, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in Russia's capital, Moscow. At the meeting, Putin underlined that Russia-Iranian relations "are developing very well."
Russian and Iran are consistently increasing their joint efforts in the interests of building an equal multipolar world, Russian defense minister, Sergei Shoigu said.
"The parties emphasized their commitment to the fundamental principles of Russian-Iranian relations, including unconditional respect for each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, which will be confirmed in the large interstate agreement being prepared for signing between Russia and Iran," the ministry said.
