Stephane Sejourne, the leader of President Emmanuel Macron's Renaissance party and reportedly an ex-partner of Attal, was confirmed as the new foreign minister, replacing Catherine Colonna.Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin, Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire, Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu and Justice Minister Eric Dupond-Moretti retained their posts.The ministries of sports and education were merged. The new ministry will be headed by Sports and Olympics Minister Amelie Oudea-Castera, while the education portfolio had been held by Attal since last July before his appointment as the head of government.Rachida Dati, a justice minister in ex-president Nicolas Sarkozy's cabinet who now became the new culture minister, got expelled from her opposition party, Les Republicains, following the appointment.
