MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russia maintains significant political and economic alliances with China. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated in November that China and Russia are collaborating to resolve critical international issues, thereby contributing to the establishment of a democratic and just world order.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on holding Russian-Chinese Years of Culture in 2024-2025, according to the relevant document published on the official legal information portal on Wednesday.

"To further develop Russian-Chinese relations and expand bilateral ties in culture, [I hereby order] to hold the Russia-China Years of Culture in 2024-2025," the document read.

The Russian cabinet was instructed to approve the setup of the Russian part of the committee for the preparation and holding of the event and to provide it with the necessary assistance, according to the document.
The decree enters into force upon its signature.
