"Guinea's demand is more than 60-70 million liters per month, but we can supply it with 50 million liters of gasoline per month. We have started working on a standardized contract, including terms of sale and pricing," Soro Tiotioho was quoted by the state-run Ivorian Press Agency as saying. On December 18, a fuel storage facility in Conakry's Kaloum district near the port was hit by an explosion followed by a massive fire. The blaze, which took a week to put out, left 24 people killed and 454 other injured. The Guinean government introduced a limit on fuel sales at gas stations of more than 25 liters per car and 5 liters per motorcycle.
