KASPIYSK (Sputnik) - Iran is ready to cooperate in the creation of joint observation satellites to analyze and forecast regional environmental crises, Iran's Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology Meysam Abedi said.
Iran's Payam International Airport is ready to organize the transit of mail and cargoes from Russia to various regions of the world, Iran's Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology Meysam Abedi said.
“In matters of transportation, Payam International Airport, as a specialized airport for air transportation, is a regional air hub for the transportation of cargoes and mail. And this airport is ready to receive passenger flights from Makhachkala to Tehran, and can also organize the transit of mail and cargo from Russia to various regions of the world," Abedi said at the international Caspian Digital Forum in Dagestan.
The deputy minister also said Iran has potential in the space industry.
He said the country is ready to cooperate in the creation of joint observation satellites, to analyze and forecast regional environmental crises using space technologies, as well as to create a joint consortium for monitoring regional natural disasters.
