Kenyans took to the streets of Mombasa on Saturday to show solidarity with Gaza residents enduring an Israeli blockade and incessant attacks.The demonstrators held banners and waved Palestinian flags as they were led by a current Member of Parliament for Nyali Constituency in Mombasa County, Nyali MP Mohamed Ali, who expressed his support for Palestine and called on people to raise their voices.In addition, Kenyans have held a pro-Palestinian vigil in the capital, Nairobi, as well as enouncing prayers for in some mosques in the country, media reported.On October 17, the Al-Ahly Hospital in Gaza was hit by a rocket. The Gaza Health Ministry reported that at least 471 people were killed, most of them women and children, making it the deadliest attack since the beginning of the latest escalation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Hamas said the attack was carried out by Israeli planes, and the Israel Defense Forces in turn stated that a rocket launched unsuccessfully by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group hit the hospital.Several countries, including Russia, Venezuela, France, Qatar, Egypt, and Greece, have expressed outrage over the deadly attack on al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza, condemning the targeting of civilian infrastructure and calling it a war crime.On October 7, Israel was hit by an unprecedented rocket attack from the Gaza Strip, and Hamas troops infiltrated the border areas. The next day, the Israeli government announced that it had invoked Article 40 of the Basic Law, which means that the country is officially in a state of war, and launched a large-scale operation in response.

Later, Israel ordered a complete blockade of the Gaza Strip, cutting off the supply of water, food and fuel.
