The vote on the election of a new speaker of
the US House of Representatives will take place at noon on October17, Democratic Whip in the House Katherine Clark said on Sunday.
"Members are advised that House Republicans are now planning to vote on the election of the Speaker on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at approximately 12:00 pm [16:00 GMT]," the congresswoman said in a statement.
