MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Foreign countries on Monday, using diplomatic and military channels, continue evacuating their citizens from Israel or have announced such plans amid the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
The Romanian Foreign Ministry said 591 Romanian nationals and citizens of other countries had already been evacuated from Israel on planes.
Hungary is evacuating another 110 citizens from Israel by military aircraft, the total number of people evacuated will be 325, which are all Hungarians who expressed their intention to leave the conflict-affected country, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said.
The Polish Defense Ministry said it managed to return around 250 Polish citizens to the homeland by two Hercules aircraft.
Bulgarian media reported that the government already took 179 citizens to Sofia, and it is planned to conduct two more flights to Tel Aviv to evacuate those remaining in Israel later in the day.
A group of 124 Serbian nationals was delivered to Serbia from Israel early on Monday, Serbian media reported.
The Kazakh Foreign Ministry said the country’s authorities had been actively working to organize a flight to evacuate Kazakh citizens.
