Since the recent escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, questions have been raised about the origins of the weapons used by Hamas.
Russia has warned the international community about the reported proliferation of NATO weapons supplied to the regime in Kiev and the possible distribution of these weapons on black markets, but no one paid attention, said Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"For a year and a half, at official briefings at the Russian Foreign Ministry, I have been talking about how NATO weapons, primarily American weapons supplied to Zelensky, are spreading to the black markets. I also mentioned the reason – corruption in Ukraine and the corrupt link between Washington and Kiev. I spoke, warned and asked the world media to pay attention." said Maria Zakharova.

She pointed out that Western media had not paid attention to Russia's reports. Zakharova questioned "How many times have they cited our data or investigated it? The answer is zero."

NATO-Supplied Ukrainian Arms Used in Israel, Will Spread Further: Russian Security Council
The statement comes as several officials from different countries suggest that , Marjorie Taylor Greene, US Congresswoman said that US will work to find out the origin of the weapons used by the HAMAS group, there is a possibility that they are from Afghanistan or Ukraine.

"We need to work with Israel to track serial numbers on any US weapons used by Hamas against Israel. Did they come from Afghanistan? Did they come from Ukraine? Highly likely the answer is both," stated US Congresswoman.

The Biden administration pulled out all US military forces stationed in Afghanistan in August 2021, ending the military intervention in the country started two decades earlier. The hasty pullout resulted in US forces abandoning large quantities of weapons and military hardware that were promptly seized by the Taliban.
In February 2022 the United States started funneling vast quantities of weapons, military hardware and ammunition to the regime in Kiev. Since the start of the conflict in Ukraine, the US has provided over $43 billion in security aid.

Hamas May Be Using US Weapons from Afghanistan or Ukraine: House Rep
Yan Gagin, adviser to head of the Donetsk Peoples' Republic, alleged: "It is worth noting that, ironically, it was Israel, together with its NATO colleagues, that recently transferred various types of weapons to Ukraine, which were also resold by Ukrainian military personnel and military officials [...] in quite large quantities. And now, ironically, Israeli soldiers are beign shot at with their own weapons and weapons that were once transferred to Ukraine by NATO."
Imad Salamey, a professor at the Lebanese American University, told Sputnik that Hamas alone did not have the means to carry out such an attack against Israel and had to receive weapons from outside.

"Obviously we've heard a lot about corruption within the Ukrainian military, as well as weapons being sold elsewhere. Given how the weapons have been transferred, it’s quite possible," said the professor.
