PARIS (Sputnik) - A second convoy with humanitarian aid for the Donbass region, gathered by people from eight European countries, left France on Sunday, the head of the non-profit humanitarian organization SOS Donbass, Anna Novikova, told Sputnik.
"This time eight countries collected aid, there were about 30 collection points for humanitarian aid. Half of them had to be left behind because we couldn't find a suitable truck — we didn't have enough money to rent one," Novikova said.
The first obstacles came from Estonia, where the convoy is expected to cross the Russian border, Novikova added.
"They no longer issue customs declarations. We had to urgently look for a broker who could prepare the documents. We are prepared for other obstacles from the European side as well," Novikova said.
The association managed to gather about 20 tonnes of humanitarian aid, which will be distributed in the cities of Donetsk, Mariupol and Luhansk. The first such convoy arrived in Donbass in May.

SOS Donbass and the Stop Killing Donbass movement, which brings together 13 associations from various European countries, regularly organize actions in support of the population of the region. In recent months, the associations have organized rallies in front of the factories of the French military company Nexter, which produces, among other things, Caesar howitzers that France supplies to Ukraine.
