Russian Security Council Deputy Secretary Yuri Kokov said earlier that since the start of the special military operation in Ukraine in February 2022, Russia has prevented more than 70 major terrorist attacks, including on energy facilities, military and civilian aircraft.
Russian air defense systems have destroyed two Ukrainian drones near the coast of Crimea and in the Tuapse region of Krasnodar Territory in the Russian south, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"An attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using airplane-type UAVs against facilities on Russian territory has been foiled tonight. Two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense systems on duty over the waters of the Black Sea near the southeastern coast of the Crimean peninsula and in the Tuapse region of the Krasnodar Territory," the statement said.
The Defense Ministry said Thursday that Russian forces shot down 19 drones overnight over the waters of the Black Sea and the territory of the Republic of Crimea.

Also a day earlier, air defense forces destroyed three drones in other regions of Russia, one each over the Kursk, Belgorod and Orel regions.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov earlier said that the Kiev regime has not ceased its terrorist activities, carrying out an overwhelming number of drone strikes on civilian targets.
