Since June, Ukraine has launched its long-announced counteroffensive, which was repeatedly delayed by a lack of military supplies from Western donors. Zelensky later admitted that the operation is developing "slower than desired". US officials recently announced that the first batch of M1 Abrams tanks will be delivered to Kiev in mid-September.
The Russian Army destroyed two fighter aircraft, three assault planes and a Ukrainian helicopter in one week, according to a new report from the Defense Ministry. In addition, 12 semi-submersible unmanned boats were struck in the Black Sea and 270 drones were shot down.
Between September 9 and 16, the Russian Armed Forces carried out 11 group strikes with high-precision and long-range weapons based at sea and in the air, as well as with drones, on Ukrainian port infrastructure, but also at ammunition and fuel depots, drone launch production workshops, ammunition and Western weapons warehouses and troop stationing centers, it said this Saturday.
As a result, the material supply of several Ukrainian units, as well as deliveries of Western weapons, were disrupted. A large arsenal of Ukrainian-engineered munitions was also razed.
Russian aircraft struck an airfield in the Dnepropetrovsk region, destroying two MiG-29 fighters and three Su-25 assault aircraft, and downing a Mi-8 helicopter.
