The Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) was established in 2015 as an international platform to facilitate business cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region and promote investment in Russia's easternmost regions.
The eighth Eastern Economic Forum, with the theme "The Path to Partnership, Peace, and Prosperity," will take place in the Russian city of Vladivostok from September 10 to 13.

According to the forum's program, it will focus on Russia's cooperation with friendly countries, export of products to their markets, integration of payment infrastructures, competition for investment and human capital, and technological development.

Over 60 events have been announced within the forum's business program, which is divided into six thematic blocks. There will also be business dialogues between Russian and foreign partners.

The plenary session is traditionally the main event of the forum. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov added that special attention will be given to Far Eastern issues during this session. Peskov also announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting on the implementation of development programs for Far Eastern cities during the event.
