On Sunday, Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa was reelected for the second term with 52.6% of the vote, while his main opponent, Nelson Chamisa, leader of the opposition Citizens Coalition for Change party, gained 44%. Later, Chamisa said that he opposed the election results.The results of the vote testify to the broad support for the course pursued by Mnangagwa to strengthen statehood and ensure the internal stability of the country, the ministry noted.
