India's lunar mission Chadrayaan-3 was launched on July 14 and entered orbit on August 5. On Saturday, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) shared images of the Moon captured by the Lander Position Detection Camera (LPDC).
Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the successful landing of the Indian lunar mission on the South Pole of the Moon, the Kremlin said on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, India became the first country in the world to successfully land a spacecraft — Chandrayaan-3 module with a lunar rover on board — on the South Pole of the Moon, according to the footage broadcast by the ISRO.

"Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the successful landing of the Indian space station Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon near its south pole," the statement said.
The successful landing of the Indian space station is a big step in the exploration of outer space and demonstrates the impressive scientific and technological progress made by the country, the Russian president added.
