This is the athlete's first visit since he was a teenager to the Central African nation – the country in which his father was born.According to Mbappe, he was "honored" to visit Cameroon.The 24-year-old PSG striker, who was born in Paris, France, to a Cameroonian father, also met Joseph Ngute, the country's prime minister, as well as many other senior officials on Friday.During his visit the athlete has also met some Cameroonian sportsmen, including Francis Ngannou, a Mixed Martial Arts star.In addition, the PSG-member played basketball with former Chicago Bulls player Joakim Noah at the latter's court.Apart from this, Mbappe has been engaged in humanitarian activity while on this trip. In 2020, the football star established a charity with a goal to support young people in their endeavors.According to local journalist Henry Tataw Ekambi, one of the first things the PSG player did when he came to the country was to visit a school for "children with hearing and speech disabilities that his foundation is funding".
