He participated in the 2018 World Cup for the French national team and was recognized as the best young player, who has managed the feat performed by the great Pele: a goal in the World Cup final while under 20.
Kylian Mbappe, Paris Saint-Germain football club's forward, landed in Cameroon on Friday for a three-day visit. This is the athlete's first visit since he was a teenager to the Central African nation – the country in which his father was born.
According to Mbappe, he was "honored" to visit
Cameroon.
"I'm so happy to be here," he noted, adding that many locals have expressed much "love" for him.
The 24-year-old
PSG striker, who was born in Paris, France, to a Cameroonian father, also met Joseph Ngute, the country's prime minister, as well as many other senior officials on Friday.

In addition, the PSG-member played basketball with former Chicago Bulls player Joakim Noah at the latter's court.
Apart from this, Mbappe has been engaged in humanitarian activity while on this trip.
In 2020, the football star established a charity with a goal to support young people in their endeavors.
"We have many projects [...] for Cameroon, for the children. We are pushing hard for a bright future in Cameroon," the footballer told the media.
According to local journalist Henry Tataw Ekambi, one of the first things the PSG player did when he came to the country was to visit a school for "children with hearing and speech disabilities that his foundation is funding".
