Russia's armed forces have shot down one Su-25, four HIMARS projectiles and one HARM missile in the last 24 hours. They have also destroyed around 665 Ukrainian soldiers, four ammunition stockpiles and military equipment, including that produced abroad.
Kiev has continued to launch counterattacks in several directions over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry reported in its daily update on July 2.
A total of 17 attacks have been thwarted, the ministry said, adding that Ukrainian units that landed on Antonovsky Island in the Kherson region have also been eliminated.

Human casualties

During the fighting, Russian troops neutralized about 665 Ukrainian servicemen, including up to 360 in the Donetsk direction.
In addition, Kiev forces lost up to 40 of their own on the Kupiansk axis and up to 150 others, including wounded, in the areas south of Donetsk and Zaporozhye.
Finally, up to 95 men were eliminated on the Krasny Liman axis and up to 20 in the Kherson direction. Russian forces also defeated three sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
Two Ukrainian command posts in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) were bombed, according to the Russian defense ministry.

Destroyed weapons

Russian air defenses shot down one Su-25 ground attack aircraft and intercepted four HIMARS missiles and one HARM supersonic tactical air-to-ground missile. In addition, 14 drones were destroyed.

Among the decommissioned artillery pieces were a D-20 howitzer, a D-30, a Gvozdika, an FH70 and an American-made M119 towed light howitzer. In addition, a Polish Krab self-propelled howitzer, eight tanks and two American M777 artillery systems were destroyed, the MoD said.
Military equipment of enemy forces from central and western Ukraine was hit at unloading points at railway stations in the Kharkov region. Moscow's forces also managed to completely destroy four ammunition depots of the Ukrainian army.
In total, Russian strikes targeted 79 artillery positions and military personnel and equipment in 108 areas within the last 24 hours.
Since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine in February 2022, the Russian Army has shot down 445 fighter jets, 240 helicopters and 4,859 drones. It has also destroyed 426 ground-air defense systems, 10,472 tanks and other armored vehicles, 1,134 multiple rocket launchers, 5,300 field artillery pieces and mortars, and 11,365 other pieces of military equipment.
