Russia's 'Kalashnikov' Multiplies Production of Drones: President
16:15 26.05.2023 (Updated: 10:49 03.08.2023) What is now known as JSC Kalashnikov Concern was founded as early as 1807 and has since then become one of Russia's key producers of weapons and military equipment, as well as a range of civilian technical products. Since 2013, the company bears the name of Mikhail Kalashnikov, inventor of the iconic AK-47 assault rifle.
JSC Kalashnikov Concern has created an unmanned aerial vehicle division and is
multiplying drone production, the company’s president, Alan Lushnikov, told reporters Friday.
"We have created an unmanned aerial vehicle division. We are expanding production, our lineup, as you already know, is the tactical link: anything that is not launched from an airfield (or from a hand or catapult). It's both reconnaissance and strike barraging munitions," he said.
According to Lushnikov, Kalashnikov has consolidated all of its production and development capacities for drones.
"We are multiplying production. There will also be ground launching means, control means – everything that is necessary for effective functioning of tactical drones," he noted.
