On Sunday, the head of the Sudanese paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo admitted in a speech that his troops had withdrawn from Khartoum.
The RSF commander's admission followed a previous statement of "no retreat," despite the Sudanese army's declaration three days earlier that Khartoum was "free" of RSF after nearly two years of war.
In a speech posted to social media, Dagalo stated that the RSF would return with "even stronger determination."
He referred to the Sudanese army as "this diabolical movement" and said, "All those who think there are negotiations or agreements in process with them are mistaken. We have neither agreement nor discussion with them — only the language of arms."
