By seeking to perpetuate the Ukrainian conflict, the Western camp aims in particular to "prevent the connection between Europe and Russia," Pierre-Antoine Plaquevent, French analyst and director of the think tank Strategika, told Sputnik Africa.
"160 companies closing down every day in Europe. There is the agenda of the economic and energy transformation of Europe into a green economy, but which is in fact a programmed destruction of whole sections of the economy and in fact a slavery of a part of the Europeans," he said.
The analyst said that these efforts aim to undermine the real economy, preventing Europe from recovering and tracing "the contours of a Paris-Berlin-Moscow axis, as Chirac, Schröder, and Putin did at the time."
Plaquevent agreed with US Vice President JD Vance's words that the real enemy of Europe is internal.
The analyst also said that the accession of Ukraine to NATO and the EU could push the Ukrainian conflict "to a real tension."
There is a "silent majority" in France that has been consistently disregarded on major issues, including foreign policy and European membership, he said.
Plaquevent suggested that the "European deep state that is never talked about in Europe" might eventually "use the pretext of the war in Ukraine to increase its impregnation, eventually its construction, and the integration of states within it."
