Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation with CAR President Faustin Archange Touadera and discussed the development of relations between the countries in political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres, the Kremlin said in a statement on Wednesday.
"Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Central African Republic Faustin Arcange Touadera. The state and prospects of further development of friendly bilateral relations in political, trade, economic, humanitarian and other fields were discussed," the statement read.
The leaders also focused on countering terrorist threats and ensuring stability in the CAR, the statement noted.
Touadera, in turn, expressed gratitude for the diverse assistance that Russia provides to the country, the Kremlin added.
