Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro may come to Russia in 2025 to sign a strategic partnership and cooperation agreement, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, who was on a working visit to Caracas, said.
"We will be happy with your visit to Russia in 2025, during which a strategic partnership and cooperation agreement will be signed," Chernyshenko said at a meeting with Maduro.
He also thanked Maduro for participating in the BRICS Summit, which was held in the Russian city of Kazan on October 22-24.
"Russia and Venezuela have formed ties that cannot be broken. Our countries are linked by strong friendship, strategic partnership and political support that is not subject to the current situation," Chernyshenko concluded.
The meeting reportedly saw the signing of the final act of the 18th session of the Russian-Venezuelan high-level intergovernmental commission, a plan for the development of key areas of Russian-Venezuelan cooperation until 2030, an agreement on cooperation in science and technology, and a number of other documents.
