Venezuela Ready to Offer Projects to BRICS+ Countries in Oil Sector, President Maduro Says

KAZAN, Russia (Sputnik) - Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has arrived in Russia's Kazan to participate in the 16th BRICS Summit. It is the largest foreign policy event in Russia this year, with 36 countries participating, according to Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov, with 22 of them at the highest level.
Venezuela is ready to offer a package of projects and opportunities to BRICS + countries in the oil sector, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro told reporters upon arrival at the airport of Russia's Kazan, where the BRICS Summit is being held.
"Delcy Rodriguez [Venezuela's vice president, oil minister] has come to offer a package of projects, investment opportunities to the BRICS+ countries, and there is good news on this direction," Maduro said.
BRICS has already become the new center of the multipolar world and geopolitics, Maduro said, adding that he hopes to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin and other leaders at the BRICS Summit.

Earlier, Venezuela's Deputy Ambassador to the United Nations, Joaquin Perez Ayestaran, told Sputnik that his country hopes the decision on its joining BRICS will be announced at the BRICS Summit in Kazan. The diplomat added that the BRICS alliance is leading the new composition of the multipolar world, and Caracas wishes to contribute to it.
