How Trump would end the war in the Middle East is still unpredictable, Rakha Ahmad Hassan, a member of the Egyptian Council of Foreign Affairs, told Sputnik.
"As for the process of settlement in the Middle East, it is already known from leaks from the office of the Israeli Prime Minister that Trump asked Netanyahu to end the war in the Middle East before he officially takes office as president at the end of January next year, but all this remains speculation at the moment," he said.
He added that Trump's victory in the American elections was obvious due to the confusion in the Democratic Party, as well as the inability of Kamala Harris, a Democrat presidential candidate, to end the war in the Gaza Strip.
At the same time, political scientist Silin Al-Jarizi assumed that Trump would continue to support Israel. Al-Jarizi recalled his decision to move the US embassy to Jerusalem.
"Everyone knows his position and how he acts, especially in matters of the Middle East and his unconditional support for Israel; no one will forget his decision to move the American embassy to Jerusalem," Al-Jarizi told Sputnik in an interview.
