Earlier, Trump promised to bring peace to the Middle East, including ending the conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon, but has not offered specifics on how he would achieve this.
Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election could end the war in Gaza and Lebanon, but in a way that makes Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu look like a winner, Souleymane Zarkani, deputy speaker of Algeria's National People's Assembly, told Sputnik.
“Trump promised to end the war in Gaza and Lebanon, and I believe that this will be done, but in a way that makes his ally Netanyahu look like a winner,” Souleymane Zarkani stated.
Zarkani stated that, in his view, both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris shared a similar approach to the Arab region, characterized by a willingness to harm Gaza and Lebanon and engage in activities aimed at destabilizing Arab countries. He also argued that both candidates put the interests of the United States and its close ally, Israel, above all else.
“Trump's victory differs only in style, direction, and decoration, but the content will not change, and perhaps the most painful period for the Arab region is Trump's previous term,” the Algerian parliamentarian said.
He stressed that the difference this time is that America's support for genocide has become more explicit and its brutality is now openly displayed without any attempt to hide it.
