Seven people were killed and six others were injured in a suicide bombing near a police academy in the Somalian capital of Mogadishu on Thursday, the Garowe news portal reported, citing police.
No terror group has claimed responsibility, but the news portal suggests that the radical Islamist group al-Shabaab* may be behind the attack.
Al-Shabaab is a Somalia-based jihadist militant group linked to the al-Qaeda* terrorist group. It wages armed resistance against the Somali government and obstructs UN humanitarian missions in the country.
