The second BRICS+ Fashion Summit, held in Moscow, brought together fashion leaders from many African nations and Global South countries, including China, India, and Brazil.
"I really appreciate it because it is a big opportunity for me, because any good thing can happen because I meet some people. I do some network here, and meeting different people can bring something great for me. I think what BRICS is doing here is helping African designers. Then we can exchange our culture, our designs, our everything. It will be good," Abdul Aziz Lowe, known as Ziza Creations, a fashion designer from the Gambia, told Sputnik Africa.
Emma Okyere, a fashion designer of Ghanaian origin, expressed her love for Moscow and how the city allows people to express their unique styles through fashion.
The summit's business program focused on topics like fashion's role in economic development, cultural dialogue, and export strategies, emphasizing the importance of supporting emerging fashion talent in developing countries.
