This year's International BRICS+ Fashion Summit forum, held in the Moscow concert hall "Zaryadye," will see a 50% increase in participation compared to last year, with representatives from over 100 countries confirmed.
Fashion is "the most beautiful form of diplomacy," that brings countries together, Egyptian fashion professional Susan Sabet said in an interview with Sputnik Africa on the sidelines of the BRICS+ Fashion Summit.
"Africa has a very rich culture, whether you're talking from the North African countries to the south, and they're very different. [...] I mean Egyptian traditional wear has nothing to do with Southern African tradition and where even Morocco is already different than Egypt," Susan Sabet noted.
Sabet also emphasized the importance of African designers showcasing their traditional wear, which has inspired numerous international designers for years. She suggested that African designers should excel in their craft, bringing the industry to a new level.
The international forum BRICS+ Fashion Summit takes place in the Moscow concert hall "Zaryadye," gathering representatives from over 100 countries. The program will include a business section, the "Heritage" exhibition, and intensive training courses for designers, businesspeople, and marketers.
