Kiev Loses Over 20,200 Soldiers During Operation in Kursk Direction, Russian MoD reports

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - On August 6, a Ukrainian military force, estimated to be over a thousand troops, launched an offensive on the Kursk region, attempting to seize a portion of its territory.

The Russian armed forces have eliminated more than 20,200 Ukrainian servicepeople during military operations in the border areas of the Russian Kursk Region, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday.

"In total, during the fighting in the Kursk direction, the enemy lost more than 20,200 military personnel, 135 tanks, 66 infantry fighting vehicles, 98 armored personnel carriers, 870 armored combat vehicles, 580 vehicles," the ministry said.
Kiev lost over 350 soldiers in the Kursk Direction over the past 24 hours, the Russian defense ministry said.
